Our principals are proud to present a firm with a well trained staff who has the experience to help you in all of your endeavors. The following information will serve as an introduction to our company and staff.

We have a long history of helping cilent companies, organizations and individuals in the Lake Zurich and Chicago area, toward the realization of their financial goals.

Craig Farmer, CPA, CVA

Craig Farmer, CPA photoA co-founder and principal in the firm, Craig has a rich background of practical experience. Specializing in business and tax planning, and business valuations, for closely-held businesses. 

Craig works with a variety of medium and small size multi-state clients including... professional practices, real estate concerns, manufacturers, retail businesses, IT firms, restaurants, investment brokers, service companies, and trade contractors. 

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University, and has served in the public accounting profession for more than three decades.

Additionally, he is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor.

Over the years Craig has been involved with a number of other organizations including, the Lake Zurich Planning Commission, the Lake Zurich Fire and Police Pension Boards, Lake Zurich Rotary, Lake Zurich Jaycees, Financial boards of non profit organizations.

Craig serves on the Board of Directors of a number the firms client companies. he has also guest-lectured to various trade groups regarding tax issues relevant to the industry.


Robert Poklop, CPA, MBA

Bob Poklop, CPA photoBob graduated from the University of Denver in 1982 with a degree in Marketing and spent six years at Zenith Electronics in that role. While at Zenith he attended Keller Graduate School of Management where he earned an MBA with a concentration in accounting.

Upon graduation in 1989, and earning his CPA, he transitioned into the field of public accounting. Armed with a strong background in a critical area of corporate success, Sales & Marketing, has added dimension to Bob's resume.

Bob has taken on many long term consulting contracts for companies as the acting CFO. He took on many of these positions as a problem solver. Bob has worked with companies experiencing rapid growth and near bankruptcy, guiding them through all the financial aspects and cash flow management challenges, relative to their situation. This experience has given him great insight into the dynamics of corporate accounting.

Bob also has a strong background in multi-state taxation.

Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Illinois CPA Society. 


Donald A. Hoppa, CPA, MSA

Don  has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University, and a Masters Degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University.

He is a Professor of Accounting at Roosevelt University for over 25 yrs.  He also served as Chairman of the Accounting Department for 5 years and served as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the College of Business Administration.

Don has worked in public accounting for more than four decades.

In addition to Public Accounting, Don has also worked in the private sector.  The companies he worked for include:  United Airlines, Centrella Foods, and Eaton Manufacturing in the Controls Division.

He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, and the Illinois Accounting Teachers Association.


Robert S. Harris, Accountant

Robert graduated from Western Illinois University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  After college Robert began working in the private sector as a staff accountant & bookkeeper for a variety of small businesses.

In 2001, after sharpening his accounting and bookkeeping skills in the private sector Robert started working for Farmer, Poklop and Hoppa as a staff accountant.

During his 10 years with the firm, Robert has become very proficient in tax planning, and preparation of business and individual tax returns, financial reporting.

Robert is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor and works with professional service firms, retail clients, small manufacturers, and real estate concerns.


Carey Dolitsky, CPA

Carey Dolitsky, CPA photo Carey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University in 1975. He has been with the firm since 2001, and prior to that working in public accounting.

Carey’s 30 plus years of experience includes tax planning, and compliance for businesses (corporations, partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, and non-profit organizations) and individuals, corporate accounting,  and financial statement reporting.

As a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, Carey has used his organizational skills to expand his clients financial reporting and internal controls.


Scott Storz, CPA

Scott Storz, CPA photoScott has over sixteen years experience in business valuation, accounting, and income tax planning and compliance, and works with clients in various industries including manufacturing, real estate, insurance, construction, and retail.

His area of expertise include auditing, accounting, business valuation, financial analysis, financial services, Quickbooks training and consulting, corporate and individual income tax planning and preparation.

Prior to joining the firm, Scott managed valuation engagements for purchase price allocation, corporate planning, ESOP’s, and family limited partnerships, fairness and solvency opinions, acquisitions, restructuring and stockholder disputes for both minority and majority interests with a leading national valuation practice.

Scott received a Bachelors of Arts degree in accounting and economics from Luther College in Decorah. Iowa, and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and American Society of Appraisers.


Lorie Kreppel, Office Manager

Lorie Kreppel, Office Manager photoLorie serves as the firm’s office manager. And has extensive experience in the accounting services field for the past 20 years.

Lorie is adept in several accounting programs, including multiple QuickBooks platforms. Lorie has extensive experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and inventory processes. Lorie employs her skills with clients in various industries including retail, manufacturing, restaurants, and service companies.

Lorie is a proficient in income tax preparation for individuals, and business payroll and sales tax returns. Lorie is also experienced in federal and state registration filings, and assists clients in state registration and tax compliance as they expand into multi-state environments.
